Privacy Policy — Home Guard 360

1. Overview

Home Guard 360 ("the App", "we", "us") is a guard patrol, duty tracking and safety-alert application operated by Home Guard 360 ("the Company"). This policy explains what information the App collects from guards, supervisors and administrators who use it, why it is collected, and how it is used, shared and protected.

By installing or using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Category	Details
Precise & background location	GPS coordinates are collected while the App is in use and, for on-duty guards, also in the background, in order to record patrol routes, verify checkpoint visits, show live position to supervisors, and trigger location-based SOS alerts.
Camera & photos	Photos taken through the App (e.g. checkpoint or incident verification) are uploaded to our servers and linked to the relevant duty record.
Account & profile data	Name, employee/guard ID, phone number, and login credentials used to authenticate you with your employer's Home Guard 360 account. Session tokens are stored securely on-device.
Device & sensor data	Battery level, network status, compass/orientation and motion-sensor readings, used to keep tracking reliable and to detect duress/inactivity conditions.
Push notification token	A Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver duty, alert and SOS notifications to your device.
QR / checkpoint scan data	Checkpoint identifiers scanned during patrols, used to verify duty completion.
Usage & diagnostic data	Basic crash and performance information used to keep the App reliable.

3. Why We Use Background Location

Home Guard 360 is a workforce safety and patrol-verification tool. Background location access is used only while a guard is clocked in / on an active duty shift, to:

Continuously verify that patrol routes and checkpoints are being covered as scheduled;
Allow supervisors to locate a guard quickly in the event of an SOS or emergency alert;
Maintain an accurate duty and attendance log for the guard's employer.

Background location is not collected outside of an active duty shift, and is not used for advertising.

4. How We Share Information

Information collected by the App is shared only with:

Your employer / the organization that administers your Home Guard 360 account (supervisors and administrators can view duty, location and incident data relevant to their team);
Service providers who process data on our behalf strictly to operate the App (e.g. cloud hosting, push notification delivery via Firebase);
Law enforcement or regulators where required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention & Security

Duty, location and incident records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a further period as required by your employer's record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections, and authentication tokens are stored using platform secure-storage facilities.

6. Your Choices & Rights

Location and camera permissions can be reviewed or revoked at any time in your device settings; note that some App features (duty tracking, checkpoint verification) will not function without them.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us using the details below, or by asking your organization's administrator.
Push notifications can be disabled from your device's notification settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by employed/registered guard personnel and administrators and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
